Garwes Family, We were all sadden to hear about Eric. When my brother texted me last night, I was stunned. I feel like I just read a Facebook post from him. I am sure he and my Dad are walking the fairways of Augusta again. Probably scoring for Sam Snead and Ben Hogan. Leo, Todd, Eric and Matt Story

This message is primarily for Boom and his daughter Claire whom I have never met. Boom, I cannot tell you how much I am saddened by the loss of your brother and I am devastated to say the least. I spent a lot of quality time with Eric growing up and as you well know we both had a passion for golf. We both made each other better as we competed together, but the big picture that is left in my memory is how much I liked and respected your brother as well as your entire family. I have so many fond memories of Eric and please let his daughter know what a great friend Eric was to me throughout high school. We were best golf buddies for sure. I want both of you to know that Eric had a big heart, a kind soul, would give the shirt off his back if needed and had compassion for life that I could only strive for to this day.
